I've signed up again - for an amazing cause!
Well, I’m doing it.
I’m walking 35km in a single day for the Toyota Walk for Women's Cancer, and I promise you, it won’t be pretty. But here’s the thing—after surviving my own journey with cancer, I’ve learned that if you can laugh through the tough stuff, you can get through anything (even blisters and questionable looks).
So, I’m asking for your support! While I’m out there taking each step like a champion (even if it’s more of a shuffle after the first 10km), I need you to sponsor me.
Why? Because the money raised goes to cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute—helping to fund the groundbreaking work that makes all the difference in the world to those fighting cancer today and in the future.
And let’s be real: with every donation, you’re not just helping me walk 35km. You’re also helping me stay on my feet (I’ll definitely need that!) and maybe even preventing some embarrassing “I think I’m dying a slow grueling death” comments from happening around the 25km mark.
So, let’s do this! Help me put one foot in front of the other. I promise to walk with heart, humour, a smile and the kind of outfit that will get me some strange looks.
