I AM WALKING IN HONOUR OF My friend
Walking for Tania 💕
Some walks are just about getting fresh air. Others mean so much more.
Tania is facing one of the toughest battles anyone can endure, cancer.
When someone you care about is going through this, it can feel helpless. You wish you could take away the pain, sit beside them every moment, or carry some of the weight they’re forced to bear. But in moments like this, we find other ways to show up and for me, that’s walking to support my girl friend and her family.
Walking for women’s cancer is more than just movement. It’s a symbol of strength, resilience, and unwavering support. It’s about putting one foot in front of the other, just like she is right now, pushing through, even on the hardest days.
Every step is for her courage.
Every kilometre is for her recovery.
Every moment is filled with hope.
This walk is also for every woman who has faced, or is facing, cancer. For the families standing beside them. For the friends holding onto hope. And for the moments of light that carry us through the darkest days.
To anyone reading this, hold your people close. Life can change in an instant, but love, support, and community are powerful things.
Please help me, help the Perkins.

Cancer Stops With Me!
On Saturday 2 May 2026, I'm challenging myself to walk 35km as part of the New Town Toyota Walk for Women's Cancer. I'm doing this Walk to do something big for our mums, sisters, daughters, friends and loved ones living with cancer.
This year I'm committed to raising vital funds for women’s cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research because the women we cherish deserve to live longer, healthier lives free from cancer.
There is so much more to be done to ensure that women of WA confronting cancer stay with us for as long as possible. I am training and fundraising in the lead up to the event. I would be so grateful for your support. If you can't join me (I'd love your company), please give generously to my donation page.
I don't want anyone to have to hear "You have cancer". Please help me and the Perkins make that happen.
Let’s walk towards a cancer-free future – together.

I recently read a quote “If you’re always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be.” - Maya Angelou. It stood out because i think you’re pretty amazing in the goals you set yourself and don’t quit until you achieve them. It’s inspiring to see and i hope you enjoy this walk knowing you’re making an impact for women fighting the biggest battle of their life! Well done and keep up the amazing work. Aaron ☺️
