My heart is incredibly full and I keep bursting into tears spontaneously. 

I wasn’t in the right headspace to do the walk the last two years because truthfully, the emotional roller coaster I had on event day was  exhausting. 

The event begins at 5.30am in UWA and once gathered the tribute video will start playing. Participants are asked to submit videos or photos of the person(s) they are walking for. I wanted to but the photos I have of mum are all too low in resolution. 

To stand amongst all the other people whose lives have been affected by cancer is heartbreaking but you also can’t help but feel so connected. 

I’ve decided to do a livestream on Saturday, so if you’re awake at 6am (Perth time) please join me on instagram or Facebook! 

I love you all and will forever be grateful for the support!

Cancer ends with me!

On Saturday 3 May 2025, I'm challenging myself to walk 35km as part of the New Town Toyota Walk for Women's Cancer. I'm doing this Walk to do something big for our mums, sisters, daugthers, friends and loved ones living with cancer. 

This year I'm committed to raising vital funds for women’s cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research because the women we cherish deserve to live longer, healthier lives free from cancer.

There is so much more to be done to ensure that women of WA confronting cancer stay with us for as long as possible. I am training and fundraising in the lead up to the event. I would be so grateful for your support. If you can't join me (I'd love your company), please give generously to my donation page.

I don't want anyone to have to hear "You have cancer". Please help me and the Perkins make that happen.

Jean! $1 per km! Don’t post me anything, I been meaning to donate and kept forgetting -facepalm- it’s a bloody long distance 35km, Harvey, Alex and I rode that distance on our bicycles and our legs were jelly for days afterwards!
