I AM WALKING IN HONOUR OF My colleague
42 km. One Day. Two Women. One Cause.
On May 2nd, I’ll be walking 42 km alongside my mum for the Walk for Women’s Cancer.
42 kilometres is a marathon distance. It’s going to hurt. It’s going to take all day. And that’s exactly the point — because cancer doesn’t stop when it gets uncomfortable either.
I’m not a stranger to pushing my body. I’m a former elite athlete and ex-police officer, and right now I’m training for the Perth Marathon in October. But this walk isn’t about me — it’s about every woman who’s fought, is fighting, or didn’t get the chance to keep fighting.
Walking this with my mum makes it personal. The women in our lives deserve better research, better treatment, and better outcomes. Every dollar raised goes directly toward making that happen.
Let’s walk so others can keep living.
Please help me, help the Perkins.
