Hi everyone,

I don’t often share my fundraising efforts for cancer research, as I know everyone has their own charities and causes they support. But this time, I wanted to put it out there.

Throughout March, I’ve been taking part in The March Charge for cancer research, and on the 3rd of May, I’ll be walking 42KM for the 2025 Walk for Women’s Cancer—pushing myself beyond my usual 35KM challenge.

The route:

• Start

• Aid Station 1 – Lake Jualbup

• Aid Station 2 – Kings Park, Lotterywest Car Park

• Aid Station 3 – Trinity Ave Car Park

• Aid Station 4 – Burswood Park / WA Marathon Club

• Aid Station 5 – Burswood Park

• Aid Station 6 – Mill Point Reserve

• Finish

Walking to help stop Cancer and supporting the amazing researchers and scientists  at Harry Perkins Research Centre, 

Cancer research is incredibly important to me. I know firsthand how vital it is, and I also know that due to the complexity and diversity of cancers, there isn’t a single cure for all types. That’s why I do my part to raise awareness and funds—to help support the incredible scientists working towards better treatments and, hopefully one day, a cure.

Yes, my toes will ache. Yes, there will be moments when I wonder, why am I doing this? But then I’ll think of my husband, my children, my family, my friends, and I’ll hold onto hope. Hope that one day, no one will have to hear that dreaded word—cancer.

I pray that with ongoing medical research, new treatments will continue to emerge and change lives. So if you can spare anything to support this cause, I would truly appreciate it.
