Happy Quilting Day 2025

The photo is of me with lovely Hello Titty fellow team member Ruth. I think this was about half way. :)

We held the Happy Quilting Day event. Thanks so much to local fellow quilters, Cath, Lisa, Jenny, Jordan, Jude, Barry  and Megan who all made quilts for the day and/or were willing to show some they had  made previously. Thanks also to those who hand stitched, cooked for the day, helped set up and pack up and  to Emily who was in charge of the kitchen.
We sold two quilts,  gave four to a family in need and the rest will be heading to cancer patients at the Westmead Children's Hospital for their cancer patients, I haven’t counted exactly but more than 25 I think. 
It was a successful day raising over $600 in entry fees, more than $1000 donated on the day and the sale of quilts which is not quite finalised. 
There will be a Happy Quilting Day 2026. Please let me know if you would like to show a quilt or be involved in any way. It will be next March.

Cancer ends with me!

On Saturday 3 May 2025, I'm challenging myself to walk 35km as part of the New Town Toyota Walk for Women's Cancer. I'm doing this Walk to do something big for our mums, sisters, daugthers, friends and loved ones living with cancer, including the men who also get breast cancer. This year I will particularly be thinking about Aunty Connie.

This year I'm again committed to raising vital funds for women’s cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research because the women we cherish deserve to live longer, healthier lives free from cancer. I am particularly motivated by the fact that my lovely niece Michele ia a survivor of both breast and ovarian cancer. ❤

There is so much more to be done to ensure that people confronting cancer stay with us for as long as possible. I am training and fundraising in the lead up to the event.

I'm hoping to have a quilt display at home again next March I would be so grateful for your support. Invites will be issued early next year. Some quilts will be for sale, but most will just be on display.

I have already been a part of the hugely successful Hello Titty Annual High Tea in Perth in late August which raised over $8,000 in a day.

I would love some friends to join our great team and come to Perth with me. I am also considering a mini walk locally so that more people can be involved.  If you can't join me walking, please give generously to my donation page.
