My name is Jackie Plummer, and I am a member of the Southern Forest Steppers.
We are a group of ladies, men and kids that both raise awareness and money for The Walk for Women’s Cancer.
In 2023, for the second consecutive year, our team of Southern Forest Steppers fundraised the most in all of WA raising an incredible $137,910 for The Harry Perkins Institute for Medical
Research in Perth.
Every year our team of 47 Steppers grows. Back in 2015 we started with 4.
Our members are from Manjimup, Pemberton, Margaret River, Donnybrook Bunbury, Busselton and Perth and it is with excitement we have our first North West Stepper join from Karratha.
The more Steppers the merrier!
We are spreading our passion for raising awareness and are grateful to our wonderful communities for the continued support we receive.
As country folk we see how cancer affects our communities. We can’t fix our friends, family or the mum that coaches our daughter at netball, but we show our support this way.

Cancer ends with me!
2024 is my time to do something big for our mums, sisters, daughters, friends and loved ones living with cancer. I’m doing this Walk because no one should have to hear those two terrible words, “It’s cancer.”
This year, I’m committing to help the amazing women’s cancer researchers at WA’s Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research. I’m training, fundraising and walking to support this cause. I’d be so grateful for your support.

The Perkins is dedicated to helping the women in our lives. They’re focused on pioneering medical breakthroughs and discovering new treatments for this disease and they won’t stop until cancer is history. That means so much to me. Please help me, help them.
