I'm fundraising for my late mum, Joy


I'm embarking on a meaningful journey for the second time, lacing up my shoes to walk 35 kilometers in support of the Walk for Women's Cancer initiative run by the Harry Perkins Institute. This cause holds deep personal significance for me, and I am reaching out to you to join me in making a difference.

In January 2022, my mum was diagnosed with stage 4 endometrial cancer. Her strength and resilience throughout her journey with cancer was truly inspiring. Unfortunately though, despite her determination to continue fighting, she lost her battle in August 2023. The pain and challenges faced by cancer patients and caregivers are beyond words. As her sole carer, I know the emotional toll all too well.

No one should endure the suffering that cancer brings, and that's why I'm dedicating my efforts to raise funds for women's cancer research. The progress made in cancer research have undoubtedly extended lives and improved quality, but there is still much ground to cover in enhancing the support modern medicine can provide to those facing cancer.

By supporting my walk, you are contributing directly to research that can make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by women's cancer. 

I invite you to stand with me, help me honour my mum's memory, and support the countless others currently battling cancer.
