Cancer Stops With Us!
Our “Why to Walk” has always been deeply personal.
In previous years, we walked for the special women in our lives who have been affected by cancer — including the late Pam Groves, beloved wife of Chris Groves, and our cherished teammate Fiona Geange, whose courage, strength and resilience continue to inspire us all.
In 2026, our Why grows even further. At the forefront of our minds this year is our much‑loved Winu teammate and close friend, Melinda Miller. As Melinda bravely fights her own battle, we are inspired every day by who she is — her strength, determination and unwavering courage. 🌸
On Saturday 2 May 2026, we're challenging ourselves to walk 35km as part of the New Town Toyota Walk for Women's Cancer. We're doing it to raise vital funds for women’s cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research because the women we cherish deserve to live longer, healthier lives free from cancer.
There is so much more to be done to ensure that women of WA – our mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and loved ones – confronting cancer stay with us for as long as possible. We are training and fundraising in the lead up to the event. We'd be so grateful for your support. If you can't join us (we'd love the company), please give generously to our donation page.
