I AM WALKING IN HONOUR OF My partner, Claire

Cancer Stops With Me!

Claire has completed the 35 kilometre walk the last couple of years in support of a close family friend and I thank you for the support. This year it's a little different for us. For those who don't know, in June 2025 Claire was diagnosed with breast cancer herself, coincidentally at a time when I was off work medically too. She completed six rounds of 'heavy' chemo and immunotherapy, the kind that hits you for six. After recovering for six weeks she had surgery - a double mastectomy. She is currently on another course of 'light' chemo, of which there are fourteen rounds finishing in October. There will be hormone therapy too with all its unfortunate side effects.

Long story short, it's been a bit rough, but the icing on the cake is that I'm now obliged to complete this godforsaken 35 kilometre walk! :) We have benefited ourselves from the medical research that is funded by your donations, so any amount is appreciated, large or small.
