Please help us, help the Perkins
Between now and 27 April 2024, we're fundraising and challenging ourselves to walk 35km for the New Town Toyota Walk for Women's Cancer. We're doing it to raise vital funds for life-changing medical research for women’s cancer; research that is undertaken right here in WA at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.
The Walk
has recently helped fund two major global breakthroughs. The first was the
Perkins’ discovery that honeybee venom in the lab can kill the hardest to treat
breast cancer. The second was a gene Perkins researchers discovered that can
switch off cancer-fighting cells making them less able to defend themselves.
But there
is so much more to be done. We are fundraising in the lead up to the event. We hope you'll walk with us or support the cause. We'd be so grateful for your support.
