I do this for my girls and the girls to come
I walk to raise funds so my girls and the next chapter of women coming through don't have to endure the scariest time of my life. That was 12 years ago this year.
I was lucky to be diagnosed early enough that I was able to have surgery to address my terror.....a family curse that has claimed too many of us.
I also walk for my two beautiful Aunties fighting right now and for Donna King, my dear team member and friend who stood hard against her menace but now cheers us all on from her throne in the clouds.
I’m doing this Walk because no one should have to hear those two terrible words, “It’s cancer.”
All funds raised help the amazing women’s cancer researchers at WA’s Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.
I’m so grateful for your support.
The Perkins is dedicated to helping the women in our lives. They’re focused on pioneering medical breakthroughs and discovering new treatments for this disease and they won’t stop until cancer is history. That means so much to me. Please help me, help them.
