My 4th Year: Walking for a Cancer-Free Future

Hello everyone!

Welcome to my fundraising page for the 2026 New Town Toyota Walk for Women’s Cancer.

This year marks my fourth year taking on this challenge. People often ask me why I keep coming back, and the answer is simple: I walk to support others and to help create a future where there is less suffering.

We have all seen the devastating impact cancer has on the women we love—our mothers, sisters, daughters, and friends. By participating in this walk and supporting the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, I am turning my steps into action.

My goal is to help fund the "bright sparks" and the life-saving research that will one day make cancer a thing of the past. I hike the trails and put in the training miles now so that, hopefully, fewer families have to face the pain of a diagnosis later.

Why I need your help: Medical research is the only way we find better treatments and, eventually, a cure. Every dollar you donate goes directly toward giving our researchers the tools they need to save lives right here in WA.
