Going the distance

The Walk is 35km. But for those who wish to complete a full marathon, we have a 42km loop version.

You can do the Walk in one day or over seven days in the lead up to May 29. If you choose to do it over 7 days, the hope is that you will join us for the beginning of the official Walk but only walk the kms you need to complete your personal 35km.

Opening Ceremony

The Opening Ceremony is a time for all Walkers to come together to celebrate the day but also reflect on why we Walk and for whom.

Medals

Each Walker receives a commemorative medal for their efforts. This is presented after you cross the finish line at the Perkins.

Roses

Each Walker is gifted a beautiful rose bush at the end of the Walk. This is for you to take home and plant in your garden to remind you of the day and your incredible effort.

Post event celebrations

After the Walk, please stick around and have a well-deserved drink on us. There will be music and food for your friends and family to purchase.
