Welcome to the New Town Toyota Walk for Women’s Cancer, a 35km walk around Perth raising vital funds for the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.
The Walk is not a race, but a journey in helping to discover kinder treatments and better outcomes for the women in our lives fighting breast and ovarian cancer.
Join the New Town Toyota Walk for Women’s Cancer and walk 35km on Saturday 29th April 2023 or over seven days in the week leading up.
Raise vital funds
Raise $500 or more to support WA women's cancer research at your Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.
We walk for you fighting breast and ovarian cancer. We remember those we have lost. We raise funds for research to stop cancer for good. We do it for all the women in our lives.
Individually, we’re Carrie, Sandie and Caroline. But together we are Team Rosebuddies.
Life is worth fighting for and we strongly believe that no cancer diagnosis should be a death sentence.
I discovered a lump in my left breast. Soon after I was diagnosed with a basal triple negative breast cancer.
I wish to raise awareness of cancers in young women and give back to other women diagnosed with cancer.
I participated in the Walk for the first time in 2021 and my reason was personal.
I knew that one of the three women under the age of 40 are diagnosed with breast cancer every day in Australia. And I was one of them.
This year, cancer stops with me.
By taking part in the New Town Toyota Walk for Women’s Cancer, you are helping to fund an amazing group of researchers dedicated to developing kinder treatments and better outcomes for the women in our lives fighting breast and ovarian cancer.
Thank you for being part of a movement to end cancer for good. There are no cancer breakthroughs without medical research and there’s no medical research without you.
How does it work?
The New Town Toyota Walk for Women's Cancer is fully supported event. This means that on top of having us guide you through your preparation, you'll also be covered when it comes to all of your dietary, facility and comfort needs on event day.
One of WA’s most successful charity walks raising funds for women’s cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research has signed New Town Toyota as its title sponsor.
Dealer Principal of New Town Toyota & Kalamunda Toyota Mr Joe Zito is already a long-term supporter of the Harry Perkins Institute through his lengthy association with the MACA Cancer 200 – Ride for Research, and this support for cancer research has now been extended to the New Town Toyota Walk for Women’s Cancer.
