WELCOME TO THE WALK

Walk 35km solo or in teams along a scenic course through Perth and along the Swan River on Saturday 2 May 2026 to support women fighting breast and ovarian cancer.

The Walk is not a race but a journey in helping researchers at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research to discover kinder treatments and better outcomes for women fighting cancer.

Sign up and walk for our mums, daughters, sisters, friends and loved ones.

Olivia

"Walking for cancer is about connection, healing, remembrance and hope. It's not just a physical activity but a way of showing love, resilience and solidarity with everyone touched by cancer, like my mum."

Louanne

"I love the comradery of the Walk and it is a great way to meet other women who have faced cancer head on and understand the impact of cancer. It's also wonderful to think our fundraising may help women n those diagnosed in the future."

Henry

"I walk in honour of my late wife Debbie who passed away from breast cancer in 2022. Today, I continue to Walk each year to support critical breast cancer research at the Perkins because without research people won’t get better."

YOUR IMPACT

By taking part in the New Town Toyota Walk for Women’s Cancer you are helping mums like Kellie.

Walk Ambassador Kellie, knows too well the heartache of cancer having lost her brother to cancer only a few weeks before being diagnosed with breast cancer after a routine mammogram in August 2023.

What followed was relentless. She underwent a lumpectomy, eight rounds of chemo, an axillary clearance and bilateral masetecomy. Her treatment is still ongoing to this day.

Throughout it all, cancer didn't just affect Kellie, it changed the lives of her husband and their four children who rallied around her.

This year the family will walk together with their friends to do their part in making sure other families won’t have to suffer the same burden.

Because when you sign up, 100% of the funds you raise will go back to the Perkins to support vital cancer research so women like Kellie can have longer, healthier lives.
