Walking For Annie
On Saturday 3 May 2025, I'm challenging myself to walk 35km as part of the New Town Toyota Walk for Women's Cancer. I'm doing this Walk to do something big for our mums, sisters, daughter's, friends and loved ones living with cancer.
I first did this walk in 2019 when our dear friend Annie was diagnosed with Cancer. Over the next 5 years, Annie endured major surgery, chemotherapy and radiation to fight her cancer. Sadly she lost her fight last year in 2024 and this year I will walk again in her honor and raise funds for the Perkins institute.
In that first year I walked alone with my best friend Rohan, Annie's' Husband but this year I will join a team of friends called Annie's Angels as we have all impacted but also inspired by Annie and her strength over the last 5 years.
There is so much more to be done to ensure that women of WA confronting cancer stay with us for as long as possible. I am training and fundraising in the lead up to the event. I would be so grateful for your support, please give generously to my donation page.
