We're up for the Challenge

I am once again challenging myself to the 35km Walk for Women's Cancer. This will be my 5th year of walking and will be a very personal journey this year as I am walking this year to highlight my own cancer journey.
In the past I have walked in honour of my loved ones and simply because I believe in the important work that the experts at The Perkins Centre do.
In late November I received the news that no-one wants to hear "you have breast cancer". This was picked up in my routine Mammogram and before I knew what was happening, I was in hospital and being operated on. I am one of the lucky ones. My cancer was picked up early and had not spread through my lymph glands so my prognosis is very good. My journey is by all means not over as I am currently undertaking radiation treatment, which will be finished in mid-March and I will then be on anti-cancer medication for the next 5 years.
I have seen first hand how great the surgeons and staff are in the West Australian hospital system, and now again in the cancer ward. The machinery is incredible, which is all possible due to the funds being raised by the likes of the Perkins Walk for Women's Cancer.
I would ask you to consider helping me raise vital funds in the hope of finding a cure for cancer and donating by clicking on the below link. Maybe give up your morning coffee for a couple of days and put that towards the cure. Any amount, small or large, is super appreciated.
Otherwise, I would love you to join myself and Graeme on our walk this year (yes, Graeme has officially signed on as a team member this year and promised he will walk with me). We would love you to join us !!!

Please help me, help the Perkins.

My Updates

Cancer ends with me!

On Saturday 3 May 2025, I'm challenging myself to walk 35km as part of the New Town Toyota Walk for Women's Cancer. I'm doing this Walk to do something big for our mums, sisters, daugthers, friends and loved ones living with cancer.

This year I'm committed to raising vital funds for women’s cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research because the women we cherish deserve to live longer, healthier lives free from cancer.

There is so much more to be done to ensure that women of WA confronting cancer stay with us for as long as possible. I am training and fundraising in the lead up to the event. I would be so grateful for your support. If you can't join me (I'd love your company), please give generously to my donation page.

I don't want anyone to have to hear "You have cancer". Please help me and the Perkins make that happen.

Let’s walk towards a cancer-free future – together.
