Cancer ends with me!
On Saturday 2 May 2026, I'm challenging myself to walk 35km as part of the New Town Toyota Walk for Women's Cancer. I'm doing this Walk to do something big for our mums, sisters, daugthers, friends and loved ones living with cancer. My dear friend Claire, did not survive. leaving behind two beloved teenage children and a loving husband. Such a special person taken by this terrible disease. A friend's sister also did not survive she left behind two young adult son's, again so loved. A friend's mother did not survive, again very sadly missed. A number of dear friends have battled with cancer and are survivors! Such amazing strength and luck. It shouldn't be a lottery, it should always be treatable or preventable.
This year I'm committed to raising vital funds for women’s cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research because the women we cherish deserve to live longer, healthier lives free from cancer.
There is so much more to be done to ensure that women of WA confronting cancer stay with us for as long as possible. I am training and fundraising in the lead up to the event. I would be so grateful for your support. If you can't join me (I'd love your company), please give generously to my donation page.
I don't want anyone to have to hear "You have cancer". Please help me and the Perkins make that happen.
Let’s walk towards a cancer-free future – together.
Please help me, help the Perkins.
